Company profile design tips: make it look professionally designed
Readers judge a company by how its profile looks before they read a word. These are the choices professional designers make — and the ones that make a profile look homemade.
Typography
- Use one display face for headings and one clean face for body text. Never more than two families.
- Keep body text 10–12 pt with comfortable line spacing; set a clear scale for headings.
- Embed fonts in the PDF so it looks the same on every device.
Colour
Pick one brand colour, a dark neutral for text and one or two light tints for backgrounds. Use the brand colour for emphasis — headings, numbers, icons — not for large blocks of text.
Photos
Real, well-lit photos of your premises, people and products build more trust than anything else. Crop them consistently, keep them sharp, and avoid stretched or pixelated images. Use stock images sparingly and never pass them off as your own facilities.
Layout and white space
- Start major sections on a new page with a strong opener.
- Use grids: cards in rows of two or three, aligned edges, equal spacing.
- Leave white space; a crowded page looks cheaper than a short one.
- Avoid pages that are half empty or text that runs into the footer.
Numbers and icons
Turn key facts — year established, area, team size, capacity — into a row of large figures. Use simple line icons consistently; avoid clip art and emoji.
Export
Export to PDF with selectable text, A4 size, and a sensible file size so it can be sent on email and WhatsApp.
